Biography
Chinese outbound tourism expert.
B.A. Graduate from the unique program “Business in Asia”, China as major, Haifa University and language studies at SHNU University in Shanghai.
In 2015 Roy joined the Israeli Dan Hotels chain, where he established a dedicated department for the development of the Chinese tourism market, including product matching and hospitality concept of service, setting up online and offline marketing & sales strategy. Thanks to those activities, Roy was awarded the prestigious CTW Award by COTRI research institute and Ctrip travel agency.
On June 2019 Roy joined the Israeli Ministry of Tourism to launch a new Israel Government Tourism Office in Shanghai, China. Today Roy managed the whole greater China area for IMOT, including 2 official offices (BJ+SH).
In 2020 Roy was acknowledged as one of the 16 most influencers in the travel industry in China according to the prestigious magazine Travel Link Daily.
In 2022 Roy achieved the bronze award from the World Advertisement Research Center for the “Experience now – travel later to Israel” campaign strategy he launched.
