Biography
Since 1998, Petra Hedorfer has overseen international activities at the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), and has been its board chair since 2003. She focuses on evolving from classic tourism marketing to future-oriented destination and data management. Her work emphasizes digital transformation affecting the entire value chain, from social media presence to artificial intelligence applications. Committed to sustainable tourism, which combines resource conservation with social responsibility, she led GNTB’s sustainable transformation, evidenced by its Green Globe certification since 2013.
