After an 8-year working experience in state-owned enterprises and 8 months in an OTA, Bamboo Zhou founded Eight Continents Travel in January 2012, based in Shanghai, to provide customized travel services for China’s high-end travel market. Bamboo Zhou’s perfectionism and in born service-oriented personalities created Eight Continents Travel’s genes of “travel experience priority” and “word-of-mouth business model”. Eight Continents Travel is a leading small-scale customized luxury travel agent in China, a member of Virtuoso, and owns the most numbers of International Hotel Group’s Preferred Travel Agency status in China. Considering the diversified demands of China’s luxury travel market, the competitiveness & cooperation within small-scale travel agencies and the development trend of luxury travel market, Bamboo founded “DONG Luxury Travel Collection” in 2015, three years after the establishment of Eight Continents Travel. DONG is a member- by-invitation-only program, limited to service small-scale luxury travel organizations such as Eight Continents Travel, promoting win-win corporations between luxury travel organizations in Greater China. As a domestic enterprise, the success of hosting DONG’s luxury travel mart CONNECTION in 2018 and 2019 has confirmed DONG as the founder and pioneer in running an international luxury travel event in China.
