Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the official hotel partner of ITB China for the third consecutive year. Joon Aun Ooi, President, Asia Pacific of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts expressed his optimism toward the overall recovery of the travel & tourism industry. Joon Aun shared two major trends leading China’s domestic travel – the growing demand for high-quality resort vacation experiences and the growth of “b-leisure” travel. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is responding to these two trends through its “multi-brand” expansion into emerging markets, while driving business travel and loyalty initiatives. In terms of the outlook of international travel, Wyndham’s hotels across the Asia-Pacific region are well prepared to welcome back Chinese guests through its “Wen Li” program featuring a range of Chinese home comforts. Joon Aun also shared his experiences and personal insights from his recent trips abroad, and reiterated the importance of a pointed effort across the industry to rebuild confidence in travel.
