Biography
A Ph.D. in Ecology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland in the United States, and the Director of the Global Environmental Institute (GEI). An expert in community-based ecological conservation in China, specializing in biodiversity conservation, community development, climate adaptation, and more. Currently leading a team in pioneering research on China’s nature conservation system and national park reform. He also serves as a consultant expert for the Convention on Biological Diversity under China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
